Replacement for 20 yr old Whirlpool

My old Whirlpool refrigerator performed well for 20 years. It started making frequent almost constant motor noise about a month ago even though it was still keeping cold and frozen in freezer. At it's advanced age it would have been foolish to have it serviced.
It had been built in on both sides when my kitchen was renovated almost 17 years ago and I needed the same measurements in it's replacement. I spent a day researching and wanted one with a few bells and whistles but could not find one with the almost exact measurements until I looked at the Whirlpool 33 inch bottom freezer (which I wanted). The salesman at P.C. Richards was very knowledgeable and without my telling him what I had found lead me directly to the one I had chosen! That was encouraging and I bought it.
I have now had it for almost two weeks and am satisfied. The smooth white finish is nice and I am getting used to the changed interior and still rearranging shelves. I know that lightening the weight was a priority and the plastic parts seem less sturdy but I'm sure they are strong. The deli drawer did not fit properly in it's glides but customer service has sent a replacement on it's way!
All in I am happy with my new refrigerator!

The door opens 180 degrees and it was very difficult to adjust the door so that it would close without a shove. The front of the refrigerator had to elevated so high that it is noticeable every time you look at the refrigerator. They brought a new refrigerator but the door opened the same way. I don't particularly like the wire bins that are in the freezer--would prefer bins that are solid and not all wire.

I bought my Whirlpool refrigerator three months ago. It is so user friendly! Easy access to all the items via the top refrigerator door and easy to reach the items in the bottom freezer door. Very quiet. Keeps food nice and cold. Excellent seal on the doors. Well lite so you can easily see the items in your refrigerator! I made the right choice. I love it!

Bought this appliance a month ago. Only complaint is that plastic bins for produce are flimsy. Because of frequent use concerned that they will not hold up. Otherwise happy with appliance so far.

I bought my new refrigerator last month and it's wonderful. The humidity control on the crisper drawers keeps produce fresh for an amazing amount of time. Love the large amount of adjustments for the shelves and door bins. Would purchase another without hesitation.

The drawer for cheese and lunchmeat does not fit closely to the lip. There is a 1/2" gap. I at first thought it was not installed correctly, but the serviceman said it was designed to allow correct temp and air flow to the drawer.

I've had this product for a little over a month now and we're very pleased we finally bought this one (had my eye on it for along time). It replaced a very old side-by-side and we find this has a lot more space inside than the old one. It keeps the food cold and the only minor noise you hear is when it cycles from time to time. We do not have the ice maker hooked up so I don't know how much noise it would make when it makes ice. The bottom freezer also has plenty of space for what 2 people need. However, there is some bending over to access the bottom. Our old fridge was also a Whirlpool and we hope the new one will last a long time. For now, we are very satisfied and glad we got it.

Purchased recently. Took two tries to get an undamaged one. Then we had to strip parts from one to put on the other. Shipping damage probably. One other issue is how hard you have to pull to open either the door or the drawer. I even waxed the edges where the seal hits. Still have to jerk it open. The dividers are not movable in the freezer... No option to not have an ice maker. We like it for it's size and quietness.

Not happy with no stop on crispers. Just come completely out as you pull them out. Top basket of freezer doesnt come out when you open freezer. Seems cheap. Not impressed, wish I had my Kenmore back. Book that came with was not for our frefrig. What ??? Warrenty is ridicules, 1year.

I had to replace a 20 year old fridge that finally died. I'm not interested in a fridge with a lot of additional things like water dispensers, locks, or WiFi. I want a fridge that will keep my items cold and has enough space for my family of 5. This fridge hits all of my needs. It's also very quiet. if you're looking for a low fuss fridge check this one out. I have it in white and it looks clean and modern.

We had a french door refrigerator before this, which I thought I loved, but this single door has SO much room! The split adjustable shelves make all the difference for making room for everything! So far I love this appliance, the only reason I gave it four stars is because no matter how we try to level it, the door will swing open which make me nervous that it will eventually bend and not close properly. But our house is old and the leveling may just be because of that.

We had a side by side but it was a problem with putting large items like pizzas in the freezer or large platters in fridge so we wanted a freezer on the bottom fridge. Originally we where going with French doors but the space storage in doors is limited. With this model you don't loose any space . Lots more storage and still have advantage of wide fridge. Would Defiantly but Again, Also easy to adjust shelves, Very Quiet

I bought it a month ago and so far it's great I no longer have to bend down to grab some food because everything is at eye level that's a plus when your older or have back problems. The shelve trim was a little sharp we took a sanding sponge and with 2 or 3 swipes it was much smoother.
